The Buck Horn Wind Sensor Crossarm is a heavy duty, stainless steel wind sensor mounting platform for AS Richards compact anemometers and wind vanes. The arm is used to securely mount two wind sensors horizontally on a common mast. The crossarm is designed to position the sensor pair 36” apart to insure that the sensors do not interfere with each other’s wind path. The wind sensors mount on the two 3” tall .50” diameter mounting posts on the arm. These posts are machined from solid stainless steel bar and welded in place for superior strength and corrosion resistance. The arm can be mounted to your own mast, horizontal boom, or directly to an AWOS tower using the center positioned female 1.0” NPT fitting on the arm. The crossarm is fabricated from tough, corrosion resistant, thick walled, ¾” schedule 80 stainless steel pipe, and electro polished for many years of service in the most severe weather.
